Wearing compression garments after reconstructive surgery is sometimes necessary to stabilize the results of your scar healing. It helps to limit the risk of lymphedema and minimizes the risk of excessive scarring.

In this category you will find compression garments, like the Curascar range by Amoena. Including pants and belly bandages, each of these compression garments are designed in a breathable fabric which makes them both comfortable and easy to use every day. Designed in silicone, they allow the scar to breathe while keeping it mobile and elasticity can be increased. Anchor or circle shaped strips and patches are the best choice!

Why wear compression clothing at all?

Like a compression bra, wearing a medical compression garment after an operation, such as breast reconstruction, is sometimes very useful and necessary for several reasons:

  • They help limit the risk of post-operative lymphedema by promoting blood and lymphatic circulation
  • They ensure better healing by supporting the scar and avoiding contraindicated movements.
  • They promote the care of the skin and the operated area and thus ensure better recovery.

Whether it's Bermuda shorts, briefs or waist belts, each of these women's compression garments is made from a breathable fabric that makes them comfortable and easy to wear on a daily basis.

Which compression garment?

You will find different types of compression clothing with us:

Compression Bermuda shorts: with 3/4 length, which provide compression, support and lymphatic circulation in the legs and abdomen after an operation.

The compression panties: shorter, compression of the thighs and abdomen improves the appearance of scars.

The abdominal belt: The compression is only applied at the level of the abdomen to preserve the wounds and allow better healing. Medical compression garments are worn 24 hours a day and should only be removed for daily washing. It is recommended that you wash your compression garments daily and plan for a second spare afterwards.
