After breast surgery or during radiotherapy, it is highly recommended to wear a soft, cotton bra that is perfectly adapted to your sensitive, delicate skin.
Oncovia therefore offers radiation bras made from extremely soft materials for optimal comfort in order to avoid friction on the irradiated areas as much as possible.

If there's one thing you should consider when choosing a radiation therapy bra, it's comfort. Since the skin can be very sensitive and very irritated, it is necessary to be extremely careful when choosing underwear for radiation therapy.
First of all, prefer underwear made of cotton or with a large percentage of cotton. Try to avoid lace and all synthetic details that could irritate your skin. Very simple models with few seams are easier to wear and gentle on your skin.
For example, we recommend post-mastectomy bras like the Lison by Coeur de Lys or the Frances by Amoena. Its front opening prevents painful movements and stretching. In addition, such a prosthetic bra model can be put on and taken off very quickly, which is very convenient for quick dressing after the radiation session.
We also recommend avoiding stirrups that press on the area affected by the rays and could cause injury and pain on the weakened skin. In this category "Bra for radiation therapy" you will find a selection of models that are gentle on your skin.
If you are looking for an organic cotton bra, we recommend Coeur de Lys models, which have been specially developed for this phase of cancer treatment. If you haven't had a mastectomy and are looking for a no-pocket radiotherapy bra, we also recommend the organic cotton bras Johanna and Virginie, also from Coeur de Lys.
Brassieres and cotton bras are also available from the brands Amoena and Anita, such as the models Hazel, Allie, Becky.
During radiotherapy treatments, we recommend dressing as simply as possible. Choose loose clothing that is easy to put on and take off. T-shirts made of cotton, bamboo or soft natural materials will be your best allies. Give preference to sweaters, sweatshirts that are not too tight, such as hoodies, zip-up vests, or large vests.
Also at home, prefer buttonless pajamas and loungewear with a minimum of seams to avoid chafing on the skin.
