The Silicium Smoothing Base for damaged nails is one of our favorite new products from MÊME.

This silicium-based nail polish base comes to the rescue of ridged, damaged, or deformed nails thanks to its formula combining silica and an ultra-antioxidant complex. In addition to protecting, strengthening, and regenerating fragile nails, this smoothing base from Même Cosmetics facilitates the application of your protective manicure by filling in irregularities and ridges.

 

How to Use This Silicium Smoothing Base?

The smoothing base replaces your classic nail polish base. It can be used as part of your manicure routine, whether during chemotherapy or not.

  • Apply a not-too-thick layer of MÊME Smoothing Base.
  • Follow with two coats of silicium-based UV-protective colored nail polish.
  • Finish with a coat of silicium-based top coat.

The smoothing base can also be used alone, without polish. It has a discreet nude color that resembles the natural nail surface. However, please note that the Silicium Smoothing Base from MÊME is not UV-protective and cannot replace a protective nail polish. During chemotherapy, it should be used in addition to a UV-protective colored nail polish.

  

A Healthy Composition That Cares for You

As you know, MÊME is committed to offering products that support and respect you during and after your chemotherapy treatments. That's why the Silica Smoothing Base is composed of 78% bio-sourced ingredients and natural solvents. It includes:

  • Rice starch: a fine powder that fills and seals nail ridges.
  • Hibiscus extract: gently exfoliates the nail surface to aid regeneration and leave it smoother.
  • Organic siliium combined with a sulfur derivative (MSM): strengthens and hardens fragile, soft, brittle nails, making them more resistant.
  • An ultra-antioxidant complex based on buckwheat extract, sea fennel, and vitamin E: creates a protective layer on the nail surface to shield it from shocks and external aggressions, preventing keratin degradation due to oxidation.
  • Natural solvents derived from potato, wheat, corn, and cassava: ensure better hold and a comfortable texture while respecting the nail.
