The Silicium Urea Frosted Effect Top Coat by Eye Care was designed to provide maximum nail protection, particularly during chemotherapy, which can weaken nails, such as treatments with Taxotere or Taxol.
It can be applied over coloured polish to add a pearly, iridescent sheen, or alone directly on the nail.
What is a silicium top coat used for?
The Silicium Frosted Top Coat from Eye Care is a finishing polish applied as the last step of a manicure.
It provides a more refined finish, improves the longevity of your manicure, protects against impacts, and adds an extra protective layer.
Its “frosted” effect applies a violet iridescent layer on your nail polish. Whether over a pale shade or a deeper colour, this frosted top coat gives you a unique and customised manicure.
Note: The top coat is not UV-protective and cannot replace a protective coloured polish.
How to apply a top coat?
For maximum protection and a flawless finish:
- If needed, remove old polish with acetone-free remover
- Wash and dry your hands thoroughly
- Apply a layer of Eye Care Silicium Protective Base Coat
- Apply two coats of Eye Care Ultra Nail Polish in your preferred shade
- (Ensure UVA/UVB protection if undergoing photosensitising treatment)
- Apply one layer of Eye Care Frosted Effect Top Coat to set the colour
What is in the Eye Care Silicium Frosted Effect Top Coat?
Its high-tolerance formula contains two key active ingredients:
- Silicium: strengthens and protects, especially during certain chemotherapies
- Vitamin E: regenerates the nail
- Trace elements (Iron, Zinc, Calcium, Sulphur): reinforce the nail
