The Melody mono wig by Ellen Wille is a mid-length wig that adapts to all styles and whose synthetic fibre resists heat for a hairstyle that can be changed to suit your mood.

A monofilament chemo wig and lace front for an invisible, natural and comfortable wig

The Melody mono wig is a monofilament medical wig. In other words, it has a large monofilament section on the front of the head.

This more airy area is made up of a tulle on which the synthetic hair fibres are laid entirely by hand. This manufacturing technique offers a number of advantages:

  • It adds a touch of lightness to the cut of this mid-length wig
  • It's more flexible, so you can create a more natural movement and reposition the hair as you wish in this area.
  • Because it shows very little of the scalp, the effect of the Melody Mono chemo wig will be more natural.
  • Finally, the wig will be more comfortable to wear.

The rest of the cap is machine-fitted, giving the wig elasticity to adapt to your head size and make it easy to put on. What's more, this medical wig has small elastic bands at the back of the cap so you can easily adjust the wig to suit your needs.

Finally, another highlight of this Melody Large women's wig is the lace front on the front of the cap. The lace front, also known as cinema tulle, is a small strip of tulle onto which small hairs are stitched by hand. This way, the cinema tulle blends in with your scalp, blurring the line between your skin and the edge of the wig.A lace front makes the wig invisible and undetectable, for an even more natural effect.

In the end, between the monofilament and the cinema tulle, no one will notice that you're wearing a chemo wig.

To care for your wig, here are a few essential tips:

To style your wig, use a brush suitable for synthetic hair and start gently with the ends and work your way up to the roots.

How do I clean a synthetic wig?

To wash your wig (about 3 times a month), soak it in cold water with a dab of special wig shampoo for a quarter of an hour, then rinse it in clean water. Blot it with a towel without wringing it out and leave it to dry on a support (prosthesis holder, shower head, etc.). To reduce the number of washes, it's best to wear an under-cap.

After wearing it, leave it for a few hours with the cap facing outwards before storing it in its net flat in a box, preferably with a ball of tissue paper inside the cap.

How do I style a heat-resistant wig?

For a wavy effect:

  1. After wetting hair, spray with anti-static spray.
  2. Divide hair into strands
  3. On wet hair, apply the curling iron at 130°C max from the roots to the ends.
  4. Leave the wig to dry and cool in the open air.

For a waffle style    After wetting the hair, spray with an anti-static spray.

  1. Divide hair into strands
  2. On wet hair, apply the embossing iron at 130°C max from the roots to the ends for 3 to 5 seconds.
  3. Leave the wig to dry and cool in the open air.

For perfect straightening

  1. After wetting the hair, spray with an anti-static spray.
  2. Divide hair into strands
  3. On wet hair, apply the straightening iron at 130°C max from the roots to the ends for 3 to 5 seconds.
  4. Leave the wig to dry and cool in the open air.

Precaution :

  • This synthetic wig is heat-resistant. However, make sure you never exceed 130°C.
  • If you don't have one, use a temperature-controlled styling accessory.Don't leave your wig in the open air, as it attracts dust.
  • It's also best not to sleep with your wig on or wear it in the pool.
  • Braiding, knotting or tying a wig tightly can damage the fibre.

Synthetic Fibre (Modacrylic)
NB. This fibre cannot handle any heat source (hair dryers, straighteners, hot water…). It is the most popular fibre used in the making of wigs due to its large choice of colours.

Certain wigs have a Lace Front: A fine lace mesh placed at the front of the wig to ressemble the hair line, for a more natural look.
