A semi-monofilament chemo wig for a structured hairstyle

Ellen Wille's Sound medical wig is designed with a semi-monofilament at the parting.

In other words, a parting is drawn and predefined by a monofilament area on which the hair of the wig is placed entirely by hand. Thanks to this monofilament parting, the cut is always structured and the parting perfectly organised at all times for a hairstyle that's always neat, effortless and easy to maintain.

The rest of the cap is machine-fitted. This gives this square wig the elasticity it needs to slip on as easily as possible and adapt perfectly to your head size. What's more, this medical chemo wig has small elastic bands at the back of the cap so you can adjust the wig to your head size for optimum support and maximum comfort.

In a nutshell, the Sound wig by Ellen Wille is :

  • A heat-resistant synthetic wig that can be styled in all sorts of ways
  • A mid-length wig with a slightly unstructured short bob for easy wear
  • Modern colours to give your wig maximum depth and personality

To care for your wig, here are a few essential tips:

To style your wig, use a brush suitable for synthetic hair and start gently with the ends and work your way up to the roots.

How do I clean a synthetic wig?

To wash your wig (about 3 times a month), soak it in cold water with a dab of special wig shampoo for a quarter of an hour, then rinse it in clean water. Blot it with a towel without wringing it out and leave it to dry on a support (prosthesis holder, shower head, etc.). To reduce the number of washes, it's best to wear an under-cap.

After wearing it, leave it for a few hours with the cap facing outwards before storing it in its net flat in a box, preferably with a ball of tissue paper inside the cap.

For a wavy effect:

  1. After wetting hair, spray with anti-static spray.
  2. Divide hair into strands
  3. On wet hair, apply the curling iron at 130°C max from the roots to the ends.
  4. Leave the wig to dry and cool in the open air.

For a waffle style    After wetting the hair, spray with an anti-static spray.

  3. On wet hair, apply the straightening iron at 130°C max from the roots to the ends for 3 to 5 seconds.

Precaution :

  • This synthetic wig is heat-resistant. However, make sure you never exceed 130°C.
  • If you don't have one, use a temperature-controlled styling accessory.Don't leave your wig in the open air, as it attracts dust.
  • It's also best not to sleep with your wig on or wear it in the pool.
  • Braiding, knotting or tying a wig tightly can damage the fibre.

Synthetic Fibre (Modacrylic)

NB. This fibre cannot handle any heat source (hair dryers, straighteners, hot water…). It is the most popular fibre used in the making of wigs due to its large choice of colours.

Certain wigs have a Lace Front: A fine lace mesh placed at the front of the wig to ressemble the hair line, for a more natural look.
